hello Cabo Verde

The first week in Cabo Verde I spent doing some work with the community. As a member of the Ajudar a Ajudar group, we officially delivered a 40-feet container with various donations to a local association Ficase who will help distribute them to the underprivileged children and their families. The story even appeared in the Cabo Verde evening news.

The second week, I joined the Associação Seeds of the Revolution and a few of my friends from the states to lead a girls’ basketball camp. This was a first for me, and I had a lot of fun!

The third week I started working and spending a lot of time learning about the new company.  I do hope to participate in more programs like these during my stay here. I’ll also be having some fun too so stay tuned for those pictures.

Girly or not, here I come!
